We’re at the Smith Marketing neighborhood of Knight's Landing in Oak Ridge, in a house built by RS Dezern Construction. As you know, I'm partial to a great kitchen design, as it's the focal point of any home. But the context of the kitchen is equally as important. I wanna show you a den that is spectacular. This den seamlessly extends and enhances the living area to the core of the home. It's a big room that's open with lots of windows that let natural light stream into the space. The focal point of the den is a beautiful natural stacked stone fireplace surround that ties into the color scheme of the kitchen. It's the trim work, however that really makes this room stunning. The tray ceiling is accentuated by heavy crown molding, and the wood panel look of the main wall completes the picture. This room also opens onto a porch, which creates a great flow for entertaining. Scott explains that they brought a lot of the same cabinets that were used in the living room and kitchen area into the bathroom to give it that wood accent. The freestanding tub is an accent point. It is black and white which contrasts to the champagne bronze fixtures. There are also black knobs on the wood, which stand out more than the bronze. Everything is light in the center, but the black and darker colors carry into the master shower, which is open from both sides. It sits behind the wall with a door on either side. There are two shower heads, and beautiful, darker tile. Both sides of the vanities are accented with tile that goes to the ceiling to give that extra look.
Dog Grooming Just Got A Whole Lot Easier!
Hannah talks with Scott from Naylor Custom Homes about a unique feature located in this home’s laundry room–a dog bath. This is a really convenient addition for dog owners, providing a place where they can bathe their dog on a regular basis. The dog bath is elevated, positioned high up off the ground, so homeowners won’t have to bend over to wash their dog. Plus, it’s constructed using the same quality construction and attention to detail as other showers throughout the home, and uses about the same amount of tile and bath fixtures. Dog grooming just got a whole lot easier!

You can tell that this room was designed into the plan and not as an afterthought. But there’s also a great and unusual feature. The pantry is large, but it has a little something special inside.
