The attraction and allure of the horse farms and scenic beauty of Northwest Guilford County has attracted families that want to call this area "home" for quite a long time. More About the Area

Manderley Estates is located nearly in the heart of Oak Ridge, which includes a post office, the historic Oak Ridge Military Academy, and a vibrant business, entertainment, shopping, and dining district. Restaurants located just a few miles from Manderley Estates include everything from Ridge Shrimp and Oyster to Joeys Burger Bar to Chick-fil-A^®. Oak Ridge has a town park with extensive ballfields at its core, as well as being one of the few overnight posts on the Mountains to Sea Trail.

The Oak Ridge Swim Club is a private facility that usually has an extensive waiting list for membership, but offers a fun outlet for the entire family. Oak Ridge Elementary is centrally located, as are services such as Crossfit Oak Ridge. The bucolic appeal of Oak Ridge is enhanced by the Tractor Supply Store at the intersection of Hwy 68 and Hwy 150. Need a chicken coop, hog rings, or a farm implement? This fun store sets the rural tone of the area.

Nearby you’ll find a variety of shops large and small to meet most of your everyday needs, including a Lowes Foods for grocery shopping. All of this just a couple of miles from the new homes of Manderley Estates.

PTIA and Greensboro

The Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTIA) is one of the jewels in the crown for the Triad. Aside from being beautifully appointed this airport is one of the easiest you’ll traverse anywhere in the country. A recent announcement of direct routes to Orlando and Connecticut will increase use of this lower volume airport, but for now service is excellent with hops to Raleigh and Charlotte providing entre to a huge number of direct routes to a multitude of destinations. From Manderley Estates, you can be at the departure counter in under 10-12 minutes most times of day.

Greensboro’s cultural and entertainment scene are also close at hand. Take in a Broadway show at the Tanger Center in downtown Greensboro, dine at one of many local downtown restaurants - and its all just minutes from Manderley Estates. The Battleground Ave Shopping District offers not only excellent restaurants but grocers such as Harris Teeter, Sprouts, and Trader Joe's.

Recreational opportunities abound as well. The Atlantic Yadkin Greenway was many years in the making and is a draw for walkers, cyclists, skaters, runners, and picnickers with its miles of winding paved trails that roam by multiple lakes, through neighborhoods, and traversing the midtown business district. This trail meanders through the historic Guilford Military Park, scene of pivotal confrontations during the Revolutionary War, and provides a connection to the past as well as a connection to the great out-of-doors. All these amenities and more are but a short dive from Manderley Estates.
