It’s countdown time for golf fans that are anxiously anticipating one of golf’s major tournaments. Champion golfers will tee off on the Donald Ross-designed course in Greensboro, including the famed left-hander and two-time Masters champion, Bubba Watson.

The Wyndham Championship was founded in 1938 and is the sixth-oldest event on the PGA Tour excluding the Majors. Golf titans that have won the Wyndham in the past include: Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and others. Eighteen former winners are also members of the World Golf Hall of Fame. The Wyndham is North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event.
