Center Grove
Triad New Home Guide - Fall 2016
A Vibrant Triad Community
There’s never been a better time to build your dream home, and there’s never been a better place than Center Grove.
The unincorporated town in northern Guilford County is a thriving community taking its place alongside its neighbors, Summerfield and Oak Ridge, outside the City of Greensboro.
Easily accessible and rapidly growing, it is ideally located just minutes from PTI Airport and Downtown Greensboro. Nearby is the Haw River State Park and vineyards, walking trails, dining venues, veterinarian services, healthcare, swimming, tennis, and fitness facilities, Greensboro National Golf Club, a marina, and rivers and lakes. All of this plus quick access to Highways 73, 220, and 29 and soon-to-be Greensboro Urban Loop.
Opportunities for outdoor activities are abundant in Center Grove,
including boating on one of the many lakes.
Center Grove is also home to an exciting selection of newly developed residential subdivisions by Byron Development, LLC. Located just outside Greensboro city limits are Magnolia Estates, Northern Estates, Mitchell’s Landing, Kellam’s Creek, and Stonebridge South. These communities feature rolling hills, modern southern charm, beautiful country views and are close to shopping, schools, and recreation.
Top priority for many families is the best possible education for their children. Center Grove offers prestigious public and private schools. Northern Guilford High boasts a 99 percent graduation rate. Greensboro Day School, ranked Guilford County’s top private school, is among the top 10 in North Carolina.
Bike trails, marinas, and other recreational facilities are plentiful in Center Grove.
Center Grove families can enjoy a wide variety of restaurants. In the mood for a home-style dinner while the kids order juicy burgers? You’re covered. How about hand-tossed pizza with a side salad and a glass of wine? That’s also available. Steak fajitas or chicken chimichangas? Yup, those are waiting in Center Grove as well.
The vibrancy of Center Grove’s economy is reflected in its consumer base. Rhonda Pegram of the Center Grove Grill has witnessed this firsthand. Some diners come every day, while others hold their monthly book club meetings at the restaurant. As her pool of regulars grows, Rhonda never tires of knowing each new face.
When the time comes to travel, Piedmont Triad International Airport is just a short drive away to take you to destinations home and abroad.

Spending time outdoors is encouraged by multiple lakes clustered at the southern border. Each boasts its own marina, two of which rent kayaks and rowboats. Fishing is also permitted!
Golf courses can be found in practically every compass direction from a Center Grove home. Some courses, like Greensboro National Golf Club, offer homesite opportunities for those who want to build. Those who prefer to spend time outdoors beautifying their new yards can purchase tools and materials from Center Grove’s own hardware and garden store.
Greensboro National Golf Course offers an outstanding golfing opportunity,
but also has homesites available for custom-built homes.
Healthcare is available from multiple family doctors and dentists who have established practices in Center Grove. Even four-legged family members have a few veterinarians within reach, while Greensboro’s hospitals are only 10 miles away.
Some of the biggest advocates of the Center Grove area can be found among the folks at Byron Development and New Homes of Greensboro (its marketing branch), which is why these companies have invested loads of time and money in the area. After seeing Center Grove’s enormous potential, Herb Parks and his Byron Development Company began working to partner with the builders in the area. Together, they have seen the development of over 20 communities in the past four years.
Park’s companies offer a builder program by which they take on marketing and paperwork-related tasks which come in the process of establishing homes in a new community. This allows the builder to focus on what he or she is passionate about: constructing homes.
Another new community just outside of Center Grove was recently announced by developer Barry Siegal’s BSC Holdings. Eagle Ridge is a custom home neighborhood which will enjoy many of the same attributes as the Byron Development communities. You can enjoy the beauty of rural Guilford County, yet still have close and easy access to city amenities. Eagle Ridge is in the desirable Northwest School district. An open builder program means that you can select one of Eagle Ridge’s award-winning builders or bring your own. Lot reservations are now being accepted for Spring 2017 delivery by contacting Jake Letterman of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Yost & Little Realty at 336-318-0136.
