Bur-Mil Park - Triad Pickleball: Convenient to Angels Landing
Today Hannah is at Bur-Mil Park which has no fewer then fourteen pickleball courts that are free for public play. Hannah is with Rick Dodson who is a PPR Certified Teaching Professional and provides individual and group pickleball instructions.
If you have ever wondered how to get into this sport, Dodson shares his insights.
"I would say the best way to start the sport is to sign up for some classes. Triad Pickleball offers a bunch of different ways to progress through the sport. They have Pickleball 101 class which is the basics ... how to keep score, how to make contact with the ball ... all the way up to Pickleball 102 and Pickleball 103. You can show up without a paddle, just bring yourself and Triad Pickleball provides all of the stuff that you’ll need to learn the game and progress. Bur-Mil has a great facility, there are fourteen courts. It is a public facility and there’s also lights so you can play after dark. The courts are new, they’ve been added within the last two years and as you can see, most of the time it’s full. It’s a great facility."
