Browns Summit is home to a new D.R. Horton home community north of Greensboro with the serenity of the country and the advantages of city amenities due to close proximity to Greensboro. Wellington residents have many ways to take advantage of the nature that surrounds Wellington. From trails to lakes, Browns Summit is close to it all.
The Atlantic and Yadkin Rail Trail (formerly known as the Lake Brandt Greenway) is Greensboro’s only current Rail Trail. The multi-use trail is 7.5 miles with scenic stops along the way including Lake Brandt, nature and wildlife. A favorite access point is Bur-Mil Park. For those who prefer time on the water, lakes are nearby: Lake Jeanette, Lake Townsend, Belews Lake and others all of which allow for active enjoyment from fishing on some to kayaking and even water-skiing on others.
