College Hill National Night Out

Downtown’s historic College Hill neighborhood annually makes National Night Out a time for residents to come together and to have fun.  But this year is looking to be unique as UNCG and Tate St. Merchants join College Hill to create a much grander event to improve camaraderie, safety and interaction for everyone across the historic district.

The 2019 National Night Out, to be held from 5-9 pm on Tuesday, August 6, will be bigger and better than ever,… likely the city’s largest NNO celebration focused on building better relationships between neighbors and the City’s public safety community.

This year’s National Night Out will move to Tate St. and include - local music, street theater, dance performances, GSO Parks and Rec Eco-Bus (mobile zoo), children’s games and street art, Tate St Merchant offerings (including food), AARP Livable Communities activities, a “pre-opening” Oden Brewing booth, and much more. Previous College Hill traffic calming and pedestrian friendly measures will also become more permanently integrated in the neighborhood.
