Proehlific Park in Greensboro is truly a one-of-a-kind sports facility and the brainchild of NFL star Ricky Proehl and his wife Kelly. Chris Chapman, Assistant Director of Proehlific Park, shares programs that are available during the school year.
Chapman says, "As soon as our Summer Blast program ends, we roll right into our after school program which spans from the first day of school to the last day of school. We have different tiered programs that allow access to every inclement weather day, every teacher workday, holidays and things like that. We have vans that go and pick up kids from various schools around the county and bring them all here for the after school program. In conjunction with that, we have sports programs that take place as well. We run an in-house basketball program for all ages — kindergarten through twelfth grade — as well as a flag football league. We have NC Fusion that runs a soccer program here, as well as field hockey and lacrosse. Again, just about something for everyone."
