News & Announcements / Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem Announces Megan Parks as Executive Vice President / Megan ParksWINSTON-SALEM, NC - Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem (HBAWS) announces that Megan Parks has been named their new Executive Vice President (EVP) and the first woman EVP of HBAWS since its inception in 1959.

HBAWS's Executive Committee and the full Board of Directors unanimously approved Parks as the person to take over leadership of the non-profit trade association serving the home building industry throughout Forsyth and Stokes Counties.

Parks says, "I am honored to be leading the Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem into a new era of the housing market and look forward to supporting our members and community. The future of our industry looks very positive and our association will prosper with help from our fantastic staff, Board of Directors and member companies.”

Megan Parks began her career with the Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem in 2008 as Director of Membership and Operations. She has proven to be a great benefit and strong foundation to the HBAWS members. Prior to working with HBAWS, Megan was the Community Relations Specialist for telecommunications provider, Windstream Communications, Formerly CT Communications in Concord, North Carolina. Before that she was PR and Communications Manager for Southern Shows, a national trade and exposition show company.

Parks is married to Andy Parks, Lead Electrical Engineer for Duke Energy. They are the parents of two daughters, Lexi and Harper.
